Your tasks
- You are responsible for the professional leadership of the department’s employees, including external personnel
- Coordination of day-to-day operations in internal accounting
- Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), including project valuation
- Ensuring the timely and quality-compliant submission of all required financial and business reports to the parent company (monthly and quarterly reports)
- Handling accounting-related issues and special topics
- Supporting sales and project activities by providing calculation values and analyses in coordination with department heads and management
- Ensuring cost control and initiating cost-saving measures; timely delivery of monthly plan-actual analyses on cost-center and cost-unit levels
- Providing relevant advice to divisional management and specialist departments
- Preparation and submission of statistical reports as well as ad-hoc analyses
- Serving as a point of contact for management, auditors, tax advisors, and other external parties
- Development and optimization of commercial management tools
- Ensuring and further developing the professional qualifications of employees as well as the exchange of experience within the department
Your profile
- Successfully completed business-related degree
- Relevant further qualification, especially as a certified accountant (m/f/d/x)
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience; leadership experience is an advantage
- Proven proficiency in preparing annual financial statements for companies and corporate groups
- Experience working with long-term projects
- Confident English skills (CEF C1/C2)
- Strong leadership and communication skills, as well as team and goal orientation
- Initiative and commitment
- Independent and structured way of working
- Strong execution and assertiveness
- Enjoyment in solution-oriented collaboration with employees and partners
- Cost awareness
- Entrepreneurial thinking combined with a hands-on mentality
