Your tasks
- Preparation of typical documentation for civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and plant design, as well as related calculations, data sheets, and specifications for NTES projects
- Development of designs and layouts for structures, systems, and components
- Preparation of technical calculations and component designs
- Support of research projects
- Planning of nuclear waste treatment facilities and decommissioning activities
- Management of technical and project-specific mechanical and civil engineering data
- Preparation of relevant operating manuals
- Coordination of installation work in collaboration with site managers from various disciplines
- Commissioning of delivered systems in coordination with discipline-specific site managers
- Instruction and training of customer personnel
- Compliance with applicable legal requirements, as well as regulations set by relevant supervisory and licensing authorities, and adherence to all relevant standards, directives, and other regulations
- Compliance with company policies and procedural instructions for project execution
- Communication with customers and authorities in coordination with the project manager
- Independent handling of work packages within the defined schedule and budget
- Supervision and guidance of civil and mechanical engineers involved in the execution of assigned work packages
- Review and verification of work performed by other engineers
Your profile

You have successfully completed an engineering degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering, or possess an equivalent qualification

More than 5 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned field

Experience in leading project teams/engineers, as well as in taking responsibility for and monitoring work packages, is desirable

Familiarity with applicable standards and execution classes in civil, mechanical, and plant engineering (Eurocode, KTA, Machinery Directive/Regulation, DIN EN 1090, etc.) is desirable

Experience on construction sites and in practical implementation is an advantage
• Experience in the planning of waste treatment facilities for radioactive waste (e.g., NORM waste) in accordance with international standards (e.g., ANSI, ASME, IBC, etc.) is desirable

Experience with modern CAE software (COMOS, AutoDESK [Inventor, Plant 3D, Revit], etc.) is desirable

Experience with the “Building Information Modelling” (BIM) process is desirable; ideally, you have completed further training as a BIM Coordinator

Fluent in German and English (CEF level C1/C2)
